Yesterday on a raining and also sunny day we had or eastern zone tornarment.The schools in the interzone were Panmure District,Baradine(a girl school) ,St Thomas , Sacred Heart ,Dilworth , Tamaki Intermidate ,Stan Hope, Sylvia Park,Ellerslie school and of course Point england school.

The events of the day were high jump, discus, shot put, long jump sprints and relays.I got to compete in only one of the event and that event was relays.That was the first but last event for me for the day.

It was time for the relays junior group to race.In my group was Matthew T,Joe,Devyen and Me.We were in the forth lane and i was the thrid runner to sprint and I was nervous.

“Ready set Bang” the gun shoot up into the air as Matthew ran the first bend.Running and running coming secound then passed the baturn to Devvyne then he was like running his hardest (he lead us to victory).He passed the next baturn to me And I put the gas.I run as hard as I could it was like my legs were going to drop. I quickly gave it to joe and then he ended the Victory for us.We were Jumping for joy.We are still waiting for our result to see if were going to the interzone.But l think we did.

“AHHH” It was devastating to see five of my men down and Two soldiers left. as i was going to base i saw a man run up to the barbed wired fence, he twas going to throw a grenade “Ohh no”.I quickly Shot him not noticing i had only a built left. he was still alive, then he throw the grenade NO. I had a pocket knife so i tried to throw it i missed ohh no.

“BOOM!!!!”All of my men were dead.I was looking for a gun so i can kill the man who throw the grenade.I saw a man coming up to me. i hoped it was some to come to my safety but it was just the man who throw the grenade.ohh no i could not do anything because i was hurt.He took me hostage.

Nine and a half years past and I finally made it there it was scary knowing that know one was there, It felt like am the last man standing.

I planted my NZ flag on the planet so when the amrecians come they know an New Zealander was here. I saw somthing reflecting on my flag it was a green glow in the distance. It was coming closer and closer untell.It was a ugly looking alien.

Where The Heck Is Clevedon ?

Clevedon
is in the south of Auckland 2km away from manukau

Auckland town center is about an hour away from clevedon

The special thing about this place is there village farmer market

If you approach Clevedon the top of the hill on West Road you will see a spectacular view of the Clevedon valley laid out before you and to the left; Clevedon village.

Different Auckland town centres have adopted Rugby teams from countries that qualified for the World Cup.

Silly sport day

On a Tuesday morning I noticed Mr Harris had equipments in his hands.

It's a sign that we are doing sports. Mr Harris had

told the class, instead of doing our normal activities,

the class is going to be doing silly sports.

It was going to happen on the bottom field, where it's quiet and peaceful.

And further away from other classrooms. Not untill the rest of team five came.

We were already at our first activty and we had to team up with a partner.

I teamed up with my good pal, Jephte. We may not be

good at first, but we could only give it our best.

We kept on dropping the ball and tripping up, but it was

absolutely funny.

After time past, we moved onto a new exciting game, which involved water.

This sounds like we are all going to get wet.The instructions

was to pass a wet sponge with water, all the way down

to the end and squeeze into a bucket. I was keen and joined into a group.

Which had myself, Sione, Jordan, Aliza, Jarna and Denim.

Our team did not win but still it was funny because Jordan had made a big slip and

ended up with dirt on his back.

The next activity was with Mrs Lagitupu. The game was ball tag. This was a familiar game,

because I had played it along time ago,

but still remember how the game goes and how to avoid who your playing against.

And once again we quickly got into four teams. I forgot who was in my team,

maybe because it was getting too exciting and everyone could not wait and play.

However for one thing, we were........... NOT THAT GOOD.

Our team sadly lost one game and draw one.

The one that we had a draw was a close one because there was only

one more person to get in our team and that person was,

(Drum roll please) I don't like to brag, but it was me!

With determination and quick thinking I took a save for the team.

I felt so proud, everyone in the group were happy. It was time to move on.

We travel like 20 meters to our next activity, but it was worth moving fast. The reason,

you do not want to get hit by a flying ball and seriously get hurt.

Because the next sport was the catapult game.We had to

land a ball in the hoop. Know one got it in but when Miss V walked passed she said

"if one of you guys get me it's 100 points" so we tried and tried but,

know one was able to get her until Miss Tito had a go,

and some of the people playing she got her.

The sports day ended with so much of fun, everyone being involved and taking part.

I really enjoyed it. Especially being proud with my own quick thinking and our

team encouraging each other on.

I hope it happens next year and there are more fun-filled activities!

Have you ever felt ready for a big race , then walking into the class hearing your teacher say to the class your doing a compeletly different route.It all started off with big excitement untill Mr harris killed my buzz bye saying “You will be running 3km’’.I was shocked.

Bang!! the two wood colided as the year 7 girls dashed of down the line.After ten minutes it was the year seven boys. I was bursting with excitment but also having tingley fellings in my legs.

It was down to this, READY.... SET............ GO! I paseded my self but saw everyone else going hard out.

I was half way there and i was exhausted so I stop and waited for my friend Unaloto. he told me to go right when we were on the bridge. I didn’t listen and went the way that lead the right way.Then on the track he sliped twice and I picked him up. I think I will be a great life saver.

The thing that wasn’t nice was that five secounds later when I picked him up the secound time he ditched me.’’HEEEY WAIT FOR ME”I shouted at him .

I was running nerly at the end where the play ground was and I saw him sitting down waiting and waiting.

I am looking forward to next years cross country and this time im going to beet UNALOTO!!!!!!

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Force.
There will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

We have been identifying needs for our street. The problem of the street is the furniture. There is a little amount of it for the street so we made some designs to put in the street. We searched up furniture designs on the web and it showed alot of good ideas.

I choose the idea of making a chair made out of toilet rolls. The creating seemed really easy but when i was up to the making part it started to get harder and harder. One of the hardest parts is doing the masking taping cause some of the rolls were falling off. I’m up to painting now but when i’m finished I will be able to take a picture of it to share with you.

Potatoe chips

George Crum invented Potato Chips in 1853. It was an accidental invention because his customer was waiting for French fries and Crum made them too thick. So he made nice thin crispy chips, and that's how he came up with the brilliant idea of making Potato Chips.

Crum was born in 1822, he was the son of a mulatto jockey and an Indian maid. His invention was made when he was 31. His death in 1914 was a tragic event for all his family and his chip making ended.

Crum opened his own restaurant, featuring Potato Chips in a basket placed on every table. When time past chips went world wide selling in dairy's and in grocery store. Potato Chips now have awesome flavours like chicken, sour cream, BBQ, ready salted and much much more flavours.

George Crum’s Potato Chip created an easy to eat snack food that is enjoyed by many people. His accidental invention changed what people eat.

Martin’s Jet pack
A kiwi engineer Glen Martin has created an awesome jet pack that can go 5000ft above sea level or even higher. It could even go higher then the Canterbury planes.

The news appeared first on TV 1 on Sunday.

U.S media thought it was a joke. Martin wasn’t happy, so he talked about what the jet pack can do Like it can go were helicopters can’t go.Like throw trees and it is good for rescuing people.

When the invention was made he tested for its safety. so he tested it with a dummy, as he had a remote control to fly it with. When the jet pack was successful he took it for a test flight and went a massive 1500m high.

How are you? Hope you are well.Any way, I am to you to tell you how I am doing in My learning in the school. One of the things that has been a good highlight for me so far is my friends . Playing with the is so cool. we play Hand ball and It’s real cool. But the bad thing is I always get beaten.
Playing with friends is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Having A Netbook is like having 1million dollars. The good things about it is you can
do enything Like education or even have free time. I had got snaped playing gsmes with a thew class mates . But A good thing is I can steal do my education. That is why a net book’s are great.

The Amazing Part one Of Camp Take Charge

Wow, another camp. This year it’s going to be called TC or Take Charge camp. I was ready and focused for the 3 days of joy. The group that I was in was the RESPECTABLEZ!!!!! Our team leaders were Feki and Shontal. This year was going to be great. It was my first time being a year seven and going to camp as a year seven. This was going to be exciting.

The first camp meeting was on Wednesday, in the afternoon. That was how I was chosen to be in the RESPECTABLEZ. We had to make chant for our group. It sounded cool. After that we played game which you can’t touch the ground and you have to make it the end of the hall. I was so squashed,I almost fell off my chair, but then when we almost finished Mr Barks said stop.

I think that the Respectablez are going to be good. RESPECTABLEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part one of camp
In the morning as I woke up at exactly 7:00 am ready for a wonderful day I was packed and loaded. Once I had my breakfast and brushed my teeth I had walked out the door saying bye bye.
Once I had arrived at school I had been located to the hall to put down my bag.

After the discussion I had seen my mum with a bag bag of lunch. I looked into my bag, damn! I had left my lunch at home. Thankfully my mum had brought it. I wouldn’t know what to do if I had no lunch.

Wow! we had started moving to our activities . The first destination that we had gone to was Kayaking, it was really fun. The first thing I had to do was go on Mr Molleys boat. It was going so fast I nearly fell off. After the boat I went on the Kayak, it was a one seater. I had a race with Joe but he won and I got beaten because I was tired.
I had gone for a swim, it was freezing cold in the water. Joe and I tried to tip peoples kayaks over. I got Joe off the kayak and I was laughing. When I jumped on one he tipped me over and he started laughing.

Every morning I wake up looking like a zombie. I am always so tired because my mum and my sister can’t stop talking at night. All they talk about is her friends and school. I always tell her to talk in the afternoon but she doesn’t listen.

I try to tell them to shut up but they say wait. So I wait and wait it was like an hour and I was still awake and they were still talking.

I didn’t know how to tell them to be quiet.

, I was thinking to myself what kind of tech teacher will

It was a Sunday morning, as I woke up to see my to twin cousins standing in front my bed. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!. “ far out they had too shot it out loud” i thought to myself.

I still did not no were to go for the day, untill i had remeber that the arcade in botony downs was still opened. so I asked if i could go there.

once we had made it there i started playing all these games like crane games, fighting games, car games,pool,and lots more. I even won a ice block.

The highlight for that day was getting to play heaps of games.

Last but certenly not least Music/TV
I like the band Gym Class Heros , watching comedy on TV,‘Movies’ and football .I always watch ‘Batman’ on Saturday mornings. I think ‘Didgemon’ is stupid.I hate Justin Beiber, Girlzone and old fashioned clips

Way I like the Sydney roosters is because they are aggressive and really good.They also have a star player, his name is called Todd Carney he is the player of the year.

This year they had played in the NRL And even went into the finals with the Dragons. But unfortunately they lost. Next year I think that they are going to win.

Once I got home from camp,as I opened the door then slammed it my sister walked up to me came close to my ear and said “were getting a computer”. “Your joking” I said in a loud voice. where not getting a computer.And she said back to you just wait and see . So we bet a dollar.

There days later when I was sleeping with my face under my pillow I heard a strange noice .It was in our carport walking up to the deck I thought it would be my auntie ready to pick us up for breakfast.Then they knocked on the door as my mum opened it. I thought it would be the washing machine man ready to come fix it.But it was not him it was the computer guy.He was from DTR.

I quickly sneaked out of the room.Ahhh come back her dam I had to oh her sooner our later.
So I gave her the dollar.I w as really thinking of that dollar,and what I could spend with it.

So I learnt may lesson to trust people In my family!!!!!!!!!!

In the 8 -11 century the Vikings dominated the world. They had came from Scandinavia which is Norway, Sweden , Denmark and Finland. They had traded and some times plundered lots of goods and treasure .

The Vikings had raided All of Europe’s church’s for all the gold and money.

From the east side of the world they got Spices such as curry ,cinnamon cloves, garlic and much more was traded from India and also silk from China.

Chocolate was made by coco beans in America or known as Vinland which was named by the Vikings.

CROSS COUNTRY RUN

I was ready to go for this big event, all the hard work that i did was ready .untill I saw the chairs were put.I was thinking oh no the intire of the school is doing lt.It really suprised me.

Anxiously waiting for our run as cold breeze was dashing out of my mouth.I was so ready but we were going last untill Mr Burt said elven year olds your going first then lt well be the,I was really cusious to see who was going next.The year one's are next Mr Burt said as I was all ready to go. next well be the ten year olds,yes I said to

myself.

It was our time to run I was really excited now .It was the big momment,Ready, set,Go , SMACK!!! Mr Burts wooden gong went as I shot throw the line like what the hare did to the turtle.I was coming first but then all of sudden not one, not two but three people passed me.And then a hole bunch of people passed me and just went sprinting towards the gate as I was stuck near the fence.

I was in the middle of the race and it was very tiring. I thought it well be really easy but it wasen’t it was terrible.My heart was pounding I stoped to get my breath when I heard the bang again oh no the ten year old girl are coming.My stamina was going down as I was losing energy like a car running out of gas.I was really dying for a can of fizz.Lucky I had a big drink of water in my bag.

The end of the race was near and I was not keeping up I was slowing down, come on aidan as somthing had clicked inside of me to just finish the race.I saw Stevie and faced him to the finish with all l got but unfortunatly I did not beat him.

Ahhhhhh finaly I scremed to myself as I was laying down feeling lythirgic. Im not going to do that again, not in 1 year I won’t..........

Term 3 Mighty Mariners

"At last the holidays are over and term three has started" I said excitedly ready to see every one again.It felt really short.

Once the bell rang every one lined up ready to go to assembly. we had said hello to all our friends did you have a nice holiday and some said yes and some just said it was normal.

Ring Ring Ring the bell rang as I quickly dashed though the door ready for assembly.

As we sat down we saw loads of teachers dressed up in pirate suits , viking suits and heaps more. First it was Mr Burt. He had shown us the amazing trip he had in America. He had gone to lots of citys there.

After he was finished team one was ready to go on stage but the thing was that it was a movie thatt showed. It was about the polynesian people coming to New Zealand.

"Team two It's your turn now"Mr Burt anounced to the school. One of them were a pirate and the other one was Captain cook.

once upon a time there was a little boy called Robin . He had a red cape and a basket full of bow an arrows.One day hid dad Big Red Robin Hood gave him some food to Old Red Robin Hood who lived in a castle in the forest. So off went Little Red Robin Hood.

As he went strolling along the path he saw eyes looking at him. He got his bow and arrows out ready to shot it.It came out of the bush,it was staring at him ."Ahhh" Shouted Little Red Riding hood as he dashed quickly to thwe castle.The bear took an short cut there

When Red Riding Hood arrived at the castle the gardes said "you my enter". Robin went in. After 2000 steps up o the kings room he saw an funny looking elevater."Ohhh" he grund. I shold of taken the elavater to grandad's room!

Then he opened the door to see that his grandad was fighting the bear that he saw in the forest. Robin Hood got the gaurds to demolish the bear.

After a couple of minutes the bear had finaly went to the zoo to get tought some manners. That was the of the bear. When he was gone Robin and old robin hood had a big feast and celebrated a happily ever after.

On Wednesday the 23rd of June New Zealand Maori had a big match against England. The Final winning score was 35 to New Zealand Maori and 28 to England.It was a good game.

The Commentators said "here is New Zealand Maori please take your way to the Field so off they went new Zealand Maori went .

After the national Mathian The NZ Maori got ready to do the haka.
The game kicked of were it was England who did it. On of the NZ Maori received the ball.He run with the ball in tell he got thumped onto the ground.They spend the ball out all the way to the winger. RICO GEAR!!!! He run and run he bumped a person of and then TRY!!! The crowd went wild . England was shocked. But when one of the England's player had the ball he was gone.

At half time the score was 12-16.
.I did not watch the second half but I no that NZ did as Proud. Wait ago NEW ZEALAND!!!!

On Wednesday ( last week) a man came here to talk about food that keeps as active. His name was Iron Bryan .

His two friends names were Eddy the chef and Sarah his helper.

Once they finished talking about how to keep your body strong and fit , Sarah went around to ask people questions about all the staff that they were talking about and seeing if they were listening . Once they said one of the questions that I new I quickly stuck my hand up high.

She pointed at me and said "What is your name"? I said my name was Aidan . She said "What are the other three words".

I got it right and then I had got a hackey sack.

Once the Iron Bryan show was over they had a big bunch of Burger's out side ready for as to eat for morning tea.

What I liked about the show was all his funny jokes he said and the prize that I won.

Camp Kindness

Wow! I thought as the helpers and children were making the tents.It was Wednesday and I was ready to go to camp to have fun and learn new things to do.

Our first destination was skate land. I was really excited and ready for a skating race.When I got my skates on the owner of skate land our roller skates were on properly.I was on the courts when some one went zooming past so I went to go and skate.

What I learnt was when ever we get onto the courts is to not go really fast on there. But one of the things that I liked was laugthing at Matthew as he kept on falling over.

The next thing that I liked was camp cooking.What I liked about it was roasting the damper and eating it. Well my one did not roast but Matthew's did. It was really good cooking.But the only thing was when I took my filling out.It was BLACK !

What learnt a good lesson not to put my cooking into the fire.

The last thing that I liked was ten pin bowling.I really liked it because I my not have got any strikes but I got heaps of spares. I came fourth in my group out of the hole ten rounds. When it was my turn I rolled it to the sides thinking I may get a strike but the only thing was it was bouncing on the sides so it only got about three down.

I really enjoy this years camp but i think that last years was a little bit more better.I can not not what for next years Year 7 camp!

yesterday the class did food tasting. one of The mostly thing that I saw that I did not like was the olives,capers,beetroot and chickpeas. But what I saw that I did like was the chocolate buttons,chili

crackers,marshmallows and the jelly.And what i kind of liked was all of the rest of the tasting food.

The most disgusting thing that I saw was when Lepa spud up

After Lepa came out of the toilets we were up to the capers.

On Sunday it was my sisters birthday.We went into town to have lunch with my mum,dad,brother,me and my sister.me my mum and brother had Burger king And my sister and dad had butter chicken.The butter chicken looked so delicious but i had to eat my own food. I had chips chicken tenders and a drink of sprite.after that my sister opened her present.When she took off the wrapping paper she saw that it was a new hair straightener.She went to go and hug her dad
and say thank you.then we went to get my sister anther present but sadly my dad had to go home.
so we went on the bus to go to the number one shoe warehouse.We waved goodbye to our dad on the bus.

Hurricanes vs Chiefs

On Friday the semi final started.With the Hurricanes Vs Chiefs.I new it was going to be a good match.It was held at Waikato stadium.

back with there amazing try by the The Hurricanes kicked of the game.The hurricanes got the first try by Ma'a Nonu.That was a great try because the loose ford did a quick pass to Ma'a Nonu and Ma'a nonu got the try leaving Piri'weepu to do the drop goal.And he got it in leaving the score seven nil.But the Chiefs striked chiefs captain. It was a really great run away.After that the Hurricanes had a chance to get back at them with a drop goal.And piri'weepu got it in.The score was ten to seven.But the chiefs steel didn't give up they got one more try and they got the drop goal. When it was nearly full time the hurricanes tried there hardest to get back in to the game but the bell went of and the game was over.14 to 10. It was a sad day for the hurricanes and a happy day for the chiefs.

So there is great new for the chiefs who is in the final. and sad new for the hurricanes who are not going to the final.

The first day of school for Term 2 was on Monday the 27 of April. Our topic was Dino-might.We were having an Immersion Assembly in the hall. Team 1,Team 2,Team 3 and Team 4 teachers organised it to help us learn about dinosaurs.

When the first Team came up they were holding signs that said "We, are, not, extinct, yet".
Team 2 was dancing to a movie. It wasn't really that fascinating. Team 3 was amazing because they were looking for dinosaur bones.Team 4's movie was alright because they were in the jungle looking for dinosaurs. At the beginning of assenbly Mr Burt was Cracker the Caveman and Mr Jacobson was a flying dinosaurs.

What I liked about the assembly the best was the cave man. because he was hitting people on the head.
